If you’re a local entrepreneur with an idea for a great new product, sign up today for the pitch contest at Kansas City Kansas Community College’s Innovation Summit.
The fifth annual Innovation Summit will be held on April 8. The deadline for entering the pitch competition is March 4.
Makers, fabbers and designers will be invited to present their ideas to an audience of investors, entrepreneurs and other business leaders. They’ll compete for their share of cash awards, free classes, equipment and other prizes.
Interested parties can enter the contest via this website. They’ll be asked to create a short video about their idea. Semifinalists will be notified by March 15. (Worried about your pitch? The community college is offering free coaching to entrants.)
There’s no charge to enter the contest, and admission to the Innovation Summit is free. Pitch competitors do not have to attend Kansas City Kansas Community College to be eligible.
The Innovation Summit will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 8 at the Dr. Thomas R. Burke Technical Education Center, 6565 State Ave. in Kansas City, Kan.
