Local technology company Sphere3 has hired Rod Corn as the new vice president of its western region.
Sphere3, which is based in Kansas City, Kan., cited strong demand for its Aperum product, a software suite that helps hospitals track and manage patient outcomes and caregivers’ workloads. It also integrates with a facility’s alarm and notification systems.
Corn will be responsible for showing clients and distributors how the Aperum system can be used to improve caregiver communication and patient engagement.
“We’ve spent a lot of time, energy and finances on building a great product and amazing services,” said Kourtney Govro, the founder and CEO of Sphere3.
“Rod provides a unique combination of over 25 years of successful leadership as a C-suite executive with acute care health care systems, nine years with health care technology providers, and health care architects. Bringing on someone with Rod’s experience allows us to approach the market to provide a meaningful impact to our customers and future customers.”
Govro formed Sphere3 in 2009, originally as a consulting firm to help hospitals upgrade and fix their processes. The company developed its software solution to help clients understand exactly where problems were occurring.
“I am so excited to be part of Sphere3 as I have seen from the eyes as a health care executive the positive impact Aperum provides in improving patient experiences and decreasing time for organizational improvements,” said Corn.
