Kansas City’s EBCFO and its founder, Dan Schmidt, are featured in “The World’s Most Inspiring Accountants,” a new book that shares stories about accountants who’ve made an important impact on their clients.

EBCFO, which provides financial consulting and accounting services to startups and small businesses, was one of six U.S. firms included in the book, which spotlights 57 such companies around the world.

The book includes a story about how EBCFO helped a client get better results through industry benchmarking and moving over to a cloud-based platform. As the result, the client was able to identify jobs that were a better fit and reduce labor costs. In just a year, the client saw a $160,000 improvement in profitability.
