Online loan marketplace LendingTree will award a $50,000 grant to a deserving small business through a new contest.
The application deadline is 4 p.m. Jan. 13. Entrants must answer 20 questions, provide information about their company’s past performance and future plans, explain why it deserves the money and tell how the grant money would be used. The company is looking for companies that have growth potential but are struggling to find the necessary funding.
“Since LendingTree launched its small business loan marketplace, LendingTree has been committed to helping small businesses thrive by simplifying the loan shopping process and matching the right businesses with right lenders to meet their financial needs,” said Doug Lebda, founder and CEO of LendingTree. “We wanted to take our commitment one step further by granting $50,000 to help one small business achieve even more success.”
