Looking for Contacts and Contracts?

Why you need to check out the KC Small Business Networking Event.

One of the toughest parts about being a small business is getting your name out there.

If you’re looking for a way to raise your profile—especially when it comes to large corporate customers and government agencies looking for contractors—you should check out the Kansas City Small Business Networking Event.

The monthly breakfast is generally held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Boardroom at Union Station, 30 W. Pershing Road in Kansas City, Mo.

Every attendee is given the chance to stand up and introduce themselves, and if you sign up in advance, you could get the opportunity to give a two-minute presentation about your business. And that’s not counting all the conversations at individual tables as attendees chow down on bacon and eggs.

The breakfast is one of the city’s longest-running events for small businesses, and it typically draws procurement officers from federal, state and local agencies, as well as representatives from some of the largest corporations in the metropolitan area.

Contract opportunities are regularly announced at the event, and it’s led more than a few local businesses to secure valuable jobs.

How to Sign Up

The next breakfast is scheduled for April 7. Doors open at 7:15 a.m. and the program is usually over by 9 a.m. Admission costs $18 in advance or $20 at the door.
