We’re just a few weeks away from Techweek’s return to Kansas City, and to help build excitement, the organizers have released this year’s Techweek 100 list for Kansas City.
It’s a collection of the 100 top “companies and people to know” in Kansas City’s technology and entrepreneurship community. You can find the full list here.
There are more than a few small businesses on the list—names like DataLocker, blooom, EyeVerify and more. The Techweek 100 also singles out specific leaders, “Ambassadors,” like Davyeon Ross of ShotTracker, Brad Sandt of k12itc, Jeanette Prenger of ECCO Select and Callie England of Rawxies.
Techweek is set to return to Kansas City from Sept. 12-18 at Union Station. Kansas City is one of only a few cities in the country to host Techweek, which held its first event here last fall.
While the slate of this year’s speakers hasn’t been revealed, last year’s lineup included nationally known tech entrepreneurs like Jonathan Badeen of Tinder and Jim McKelvey of Square. Check out the official site here.
One of the highlights of the first Techweek Kansas City was LaunchKC, a grant competition that awarded $50,000 each to 10 startups, both from Kansas City and across the country. LaunchKC will again be part of Techweek this fall.
