For the first time, Accounting Today has included MarksNelson on the industry publication’s list of the best accounting firms in the Midwest.

MarksNelson was the only firm headquartered in Kansas City that was included on the list of 21 accounting practices from Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota and North and South Dakota.

“This is a significant milestone for MarksNelson and the third time our firm has been nationally recognized for excellence within the past year,” said Mark Radetic, the firm’s managing partner.

“It is a validation for our partners and associates that the strategies we’ve put in place are not only making an impact on our business success, but also demonstrating thought leadership on a national level.”

What were those other two honors? Last fall, Radetic was included on an Accounting Today list of the nation’s top 10 best managing partners. MarksNelson also was praised last year by the Accounting MOVE Project, which saluted firms with higher percentages of women in ownership or partnership roles.
