Mark Radetic, managing partner at Kansas City accounting firm MarksNelson LLC, has been named one of the top 10 accounting firm leaders in the United States by Accounting Today, a national magazine for senior public accounting and tax professionals.
Radetic was selected for his long-term strategic planning and investment in employee development, marketing and technology.
Accounting Today stated: “Under (Radetic)…MarksNelson has taken a number of bold steps to solve issues other firms have ignored.”
“I am honored to have received this recognition, but the credit goes to our partners and every member of the firm,” Radetic said in a release. “It was important to me that we develop a culture of progress through collaboration and consensus. Our investment in human capital, marketing and technology, and our intense work to develop our strategic plan and our succession plan, all came together strategically to create the foundation from which we can grow.”
Radetic, who became managing partner of MarksNelson in 2009, joined the firm in 2003. He is a graduate of Benedictine College with wide experience in capital-intensive industries, including construction and auto dealerships.
Radetic’s recognition from Accounting Today is the second national honor that MarksNelson has recently received. In September, the company was heralded for its high percentage of women partners and owners by the Accounting MOVE Project.
