Eric Morgenstern, the CEO of Morningstar Communications, is this year’s recipient of Johnson County Community College’s Headline Award.

The award is presented by JCCC’s journalism and media communications program to a media professional who has inspired students in that field. Morgenstern received the honor during a luncheon on April 23.

Morgenstern is a past recipient, through Morningstar Communications, of the 25 Under 25® Award. He has been elected to the PRSA College of Fellows, and he’s a past winner of Arthur Lowell Award, a lifetime accomplishment award from the International Association of Business Communicators’ Kansas City chapter.

Morgenstern founded Morningstar in 1997. The firm provides strategic, integrated marketing services to an array of companies, including True Value, Hallmark Business Connections, RubinBrown and many others. He’s also active in Turn the Page KC, which works to improve young people’s reading skills.
