NetWork Kansas has launched a website designed to advance, connect and promote entrepreneurship throughout Kansas.
NetWork Kansas is a statewide network of non-profit business-building resources that help entrepreneurs and small business owners start and grow businesses. The organization helps to connect more than 4,000 Kansas entrepreneurs to resources, funding and training each year. They support thousands more online.
In collaboration with SourceLink, Network Kansas has introduced a new online portal that better connects companies with resources that will help them achieve success.
Network Kansas CEO Steve Radley said their two goals were to simplify content and highlight their partnership with the Entrepreneurship Community Partnership.
The website features streamlined navigation, mobile responsiveness and a modern design that provides ready access to resources. The site also offers an easy-to-search database of resources, a calendar of business events and a blogging platform.
An E-Community is one that has committed to fostering an entrepreneurial environment. It has identified and developed resources that help local entrepreneurs start or grow businesses. The communities partner with NetWork Kansas to establish a locally-administered loan fund to assist entrepreneurs with capital, increase connectivity to entrepreneurial resources and create activities that promote entrepreneurial development. The E-Community Partnership has expanded from six communities in 2007 to 59 in 2016.
NetWork Kansas was established as part of the Kansas Economic Growth Act of 2004 to further entrepreneurship and small business growth as a priority for economic and community development in the Kansas.
