InStore Design Display and Clear Impact Acrylics have a new owner: Edge Capital Holdings.
Randy Edge, who owns Edge Capital and is the former CEO of Citizens Bank, will now become the president and CEO of the two companies, which will be consolidated. (Clear Impact will continue to exist as an independent brand and as a business unit inside IDD.)
The deal was made official Aug. 1.
“IDD and CIA are businesses positioned for growth,” Edge said. “I am honored to have the privilege to take them forward. Both companies have outstanding teams of creative and dedicated people who truly deliver innovative display solutions that allow our customers to show off their products.”
InStore Design Display makes and sells custom-designed store fixtures and product displays, and it’s been around more than a century. Sprint, Bayer Animal Health and Bushnell all have hired IDD to help promote their goods. Clear Impact, founded in 2004, focuses on plastic displays, especially ones that have a shorter deadline.
The companies’ CEO, Ed Redhair, is retiring.
“I’m thrilled to be handing off our business to Randy as the new CEO and owner of IDD and CIA,” Redhair said. “We saw the sale as a way to secure the future for our employees and the legacy of our company. Randy brings a wealth of business knowledge, as well as a background in engineering, to the position. I’m confident that he will help the company grow to new heights and continue our long-standing commitment to exceeding the expectations of our customers.”
