Nominations are now open for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, a national recognition program for the country’s most successful business leaders.
The deadline is March 11 for the 2016 class, and self-nominations are welcome. You can learn more about the selection process and submit an application at this website.
Nominees must own or be the primary manager of a public or private company, and they need to have been an active member of the company’s leadership for two or more years. In most cases, the company itself must be at least 3 years old. (There is, however, an “Emerging” category for companies that are at least 2 years old.)
Winners will be recognized on the national and regional level, including here in Kansas City. The Central Midwest region’s finalists will be announced on April 21, and the winners will be saluted at a gala on June 16 in Kansas City. They’ll advance to the national awards competition held in November 2016.
EY Entrepreneur of the Year will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2016, and some of Kansas City’s best executives have been recognized by the program. You can find a list of last year’s winners by clicking this link.
