PRIER Products, a 25 Under 25® alumnus that manufactures plumbing and industry products, has received the American Supply Association’s Safety Award.
The award was presented in September to Nick Manning, president of PRIER, at the American Supply Association Conference in Las Vegas. The Safety Award recognizes an outstanding company for its ability to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
PRIER credited the manufacturing team, led by plant manager Brady Poskin and the company’s safety committee.
“At PRIER, we have always emphasized safety first,” Poskin said in a release. “Our associates know that while we aim to be as efficient as possible, we never sacrifice quality for productivity, and more importantly, nothing should be accomplished at the expense of safety.”
Poskin meets every month with his team to make sure that all processes create a safe and accident-free work setting. The team has implemented programs to maintain such a protection-minded environment, including an emergency action plan, fire prevention efforts, a lock-out/tag-out program, a forklift program, respiratory protection and hazardous communication.
PRIER began as a brass foundry by German immigrant Anton Prier in Kansas City, Kan.
In 2007, PRIER acquired the brass division of Mansfield Plumbing Products, allowing PRIER to grow its residential and commercial lines of plumbing products. As a result, PRIER sales have grown across the country by offering more quality products backed by exceptional service.
PRIER also prides itself on being a green company in such areas as product development and its use of recycled materials in the manufacturing and product testing processes.
