Getting into exporting is one of the biggest—and scariest—opportunities for small businesses. But a new program could give you a clearer idea of exactly how your company could start making international sales.
Check out “The Riddle of the Exporter,” a daylong seminar being presented Sept. 10 by the Kansas Small Business Development Center at Johnson County Community College. It’ll run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Regnier Center’s Room 145.
Participants will cover readiness, market research, market entry, legal and regulatory concerns, finance, cultural issues and other topics. You’ll also learn how to decipher a string of acronyms like EAR-99, USPPI and other riddles.
Can’t make it on the 10th? The center plans to hold the class again on Nov. 4.
Admission for “The Riddle of the Exporter” is $199 and includes a box lunch. Advance registration is required. For more information, visit www.bit.ly/2a52DvF or contact John Addessi at jaddessi@jccc.edu or (913) 469-3922.
