Local startup Real Life 101 has partnered with Twentyseven Global to build a cloud-based application for Real Life 101’s online course on personal finance for students.
Real Life 101 was founded by Sara Allison and Jonathan Knapp to provide life-skills education to young people. What began as a series of in-person workshops eventually grew to a website that offers content on money management, careers, fashion and other topics. The startup was featured as a Company To Watch in Thinking Bigger Business’ April 2013 issue.
While the new platform features Real Life 101’s Personal Finance 101 course, it’s set up so that other classes can be added in the feature. The platform also will provide reports to teachers and administrators on how the course is being used.
“Twentyseven Global loves to work with startups and Real Life 101 had a clear vision for their product,” Creighton O’Neal, vice president of Twentyseven Global in Denver. “Delivering their product with a modern Web architecture on an open-source platform is right in our sweet spot. Our goal was to deliver a learning management system to the client that met their functional and design specifications. In addition, we wanted to build them a fully scalable solution so their business can grow without technological limitations.”
Twentyseven Global is a previous winner of the 25 Under 25® Award.
