Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City will be holding its annual Red Shoe Shindig on September 23 at Arrowhead Stadium’s North Club.
The event is the single largest fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, raising more than $500,000 last year. Equity Bank is the presenting sponsor.
“Equity Bank is proud to give back to the communities where we live and work, so we are delighted to be involved in this event and the broad impact it has on sick children and their families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City,” said Mark Parman, president of Equity Bank in Kansas City.
The event features hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, entertainment, and live and silent auction items.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City provides a “home away from home” for families when they are receiving medical care at Kansas City area hospitals. On a nightly basis in Kansas City, Ronald McDonald House serves 87 families. Annually, it provides lodging to more than 4,500 families and supports more than 63,000 visits from inpatients and their families at its Family Room space within Children’s Mercy Hospital. In addition to a place to stay Ronald McDonald House offers warm meals and other supportive services so that families can stay together and focus on the child’s health.
