This week, I start work as a staff reporter for Thinking Bigger Inc., where I’ll provide editorial features and additional copy on everything small business in the Kansas City area.
I was born and raised here in Kansas City, but my experience also includes my work as a reporter and newspaper editor in Omaha, Neb. Over the last two years, I pursued my master’s in English at Creighton University, and after graduating this past spring, I’m ready to jump back into the world of reporting and journalistic writing—starting with small business owners, entrepreneurs and creators in the Kansas City area.
During my time in Omaha, I worked for two years as a reporter for Omaha Magazine, where I covered human interest stories featuring creative, unique individuals and business owners in the Omaha area. Jumping state lines, for two summers I worked marketing and communications internships at Union Station and American Century Investments (respectively) here in Kansas City. Collaborating with teams so passionate about my hometown inspired me to continue working alongside Kansas City’s vibrant business community.
At Thinking Bigger, I’m excited to continue working with Kansas City’s creative community the best way I know how—writing its stories.
