SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza has just opened its eighth restaurant in the metro area.
The new location is at 6510 W. 135th St. in the Corbin Park Retail Village in south Overland Park.
“In 2005, when we opened our first location on 119th Street in Overland Park, SPIN! was one of the nation’s first Neapolitan-style pizzerias,” said Ed Brownell, a partner in SPIN! Pizza. “We are excited to open a second location in Overland Park serving the booming residential and commercial development that’s taken place to the south of our original location. And it’s a special thrill that the general manager has been with us since we opened the doors of our first location.”
Molly McClure, who will oversee the new restaurant, started working as a server and cashier for SPIN! 10 years ago when she was a senior at Blue Valley North.
“SPIN! is great because it’s a scratch kitchen,” McClure said. “It’s not like a big corporate where everything comes prepared for you and you just put things together. It’s neat to be somewhere you can actually cook.”
In addition to a growing national franchise operation, SPIN! is building restaurants at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg and at the Burlington Creek Shopping Center in the Northland.
