Kansas City-based Sphere3, whose Aperum clinical software helps hospitals better analyze staffing data, has a new partnership with Rauland Responder, whose software interface ResponderSync improves nurse call systems in hospitals.
“Rauland and Sphere3 have joined forces to tackle real issues for hospital administration,” said Kourtney Govro, CEO of Sphere3, in a release. “The ResponderSync and Aperum integration allows administrators to take actions specifically targeting improvement related to hospital-acquired events and patient satisfaction.
“No longer will administrators have to wait for months to determine if decisions created improvement,” Govro said. “ResponderSync allows data to flow rapidly into Aperum, and our advanced algorithms and information visualization enables more pertinent, timely caregiver and patient engagement. When an unintended event occurs, Aperum provides a reliable deconstruction of events―communication paths and human response―for immediate coaching of personnel and longer-term adjustments in unit activity.”
Rauland-Borg, owner of Rauland Responder, is a leader in design, communication, workflow and life-safety solutions in hospitals, and is the largest vendor of nurse call systems. The company’s integration with Sphere3 will allow for improved response to the needs and safety of hospital patients. Meanwhile, the presence of Sphere3 will continue to expand regionally, with current locations in Kansas City, Lawrence, Kan., Denver and Virginia.
“In our commitment and perseverance to improve the quality of patient care in the inpatient setting, the relationship with Rauland is a significant step,” Govro said. “This agreement improves our ability to make our information immediate and usable throughout a patient’s stay in the hospital.”
