The Sundry Market & Kitchen will celebrate its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Crossroads Arts District.
Located at 1706 Baltimore Ave., the Sundry features locally made grocery items and fresh dishes created with ingredients grown in the Kansas City area.
At the grand opening, local producers and farmers will offer samples and talk about their products. The Sundry will also offer samples of some of its kitchen menu items.
The Sundry had its “beta opening” on Nov. 21 and has since focused on getting its kitchen up to top speed and fully stocking the shelves of its neighborhood market.
The market sells a full line of traditional grocery items. It offers customers seasonal local produce, meats, freshly baked bread, spices, seasonings, prepared foods and handmade products.
The restaurant-quality kitchen makes use of the same products available in the market to make mostly to-go meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Sundry’s kitchen staff also makes food items that are for sale to customers in the market, including sauces, stocks, cured meats, soups and pastries.
In addition, Sundry staff members are poised to answer questions and make recommendations to customers.
Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday (breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m.; lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner from 3 to 8 p.m.) and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (brunch only, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
