The Tasteful Olive in Overland Park, a 25 Under 25® alumnus, has added a second location in Topeka at 2900 S.W. Oakley Ave. in the Brookwood Shopping Center.

The new Tasteful Olive in Topeka features 60 oils and vinegars, olives, pastas (including gluten-free), sea salts, spice blends, loose leaf teas, pestos and bruschettas and coconut oil, as well as hair and skin products with olive oil as a special ingredient. The store also offers a selection of recipe books and other olive-embracing tomes.

The Topeka store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, and is managed by David Mackay, brother-in-law of Jeanne Mackay, owner of the Tasteful Olive.

Carrying on the tradition of the original Tasteful Olive in Overland Park, all products for sale in the Topeka location are of extra virgin quality, and the olives chosen for processing have been pressed within three to four hours of harvesting. The oils have also been tested in two independent labs to ensure a variety of essential attributes, including fruitiness, bitterness and pungency.

The company’s honors include being named 2013 Kansas Woman-Owned Business of the Year, Retail Firm; the 2010 Downtown Overland Park Business of the Year, and the 2012 Purveyor of the Year by the Greater Kansas City Chefs Association.
