Technology Group Solutions has been named one of the 50 fastest-growing women-led companies, according to the Women Presidents’ Organization.
The Lenexa technology-services firm is owned by Lenora Payne, who has been a member of the Women Presidents’ Organization for three years. Between 2012 and 2014, Technology Group Solutions’ gross revenue climbed from $39.2 million to $46.9 million. The company landed at No. 29 on the list.
How has Technology Group Solutions been able to achieve that kind of growth? Payne said it helps that her team works closely with original equipment manufacturers, so that her employees have up-to-date training and know a great deal about upcoming products.
“It really depends on your team members,” Payne said. “Because you can’t do it all.”
She also credited her clients, who include some of the metro area’s largest businesses. Technology Group Solutions has worked hard to execute orders well, and local corporations have rewarded the company with repeat business. “They want to see Kansas City grow,” Payne said.
The company is continuing to add staff—a new batch of workers will start on June 1—and Payne is eyeing a move into a larger space because her team is running out of room.
Technology Group Solutions is a past winner of the 25 Under 25® Awards.
