Will Shields—the Chiefs Hall of Famer and the owner of 68’s Inside Sports fitness center—is sponsoring two upcoming fundraisers.

Women’s Football 101 Clinic

The first is a Women’s Football 101 Clinic from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at 68’s Inside Sports location at 9111 Flint in Overland Park. Participants can learn a little more about the game and get some practice passing and blocking. Afterwards, they’ll join Shields at a local restaurant to watch Monday Night Football.

Admission costs $15, and attendees must be 16 years or older. Part of the proceeds will go to Shields’ Will to Succeed Foundation, which supports literacy training, scholarship programs and nonprofits that assist women and children who have been abused or neglected.

Will to Do It Golf Tournament

Then, on Sept. 29, Shields will host the Will to Do It Golf Tournament at the Sycamore Ridge Golf Course in Spring Hill. The event—which starts with check-in and breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m.—will include several former and current MLB and NFL players.
