Oklahoma Joe’s Bar-B-Q in Kansas City, Kan., can add another tribute to its cache of awards and accolades, namely the No. 3 spot on Yelp’s list of its top 100 best-reviewed restaurants.

Sorry, Kansas City, Mo., but the only restaurants to make the tally on the Missouri side of the state line were all St. Louis eateries: Bogart’s Smoke House (No. 10), Blues City Deli (No. 29) and Pappy’s Smokehouse (No. 99).

Yelp describes its deep catalogue of culinary must-visits—from The Cinnamon Snail in New York (No. 4) to Biker Jim’s Gourmet Dogs in Denver (No. 12) and The Codmother Fish and Chips in San Francisco (No. 93)—as “the spots Yelpers have deemed the ultimate, try-before-you-die, food-coma-inducing, so-good-it-makes-you-want-to-slap-your-momma places to eat across the globe.”

Yelp goes on to say that the list was compiled using a method that “dug into our wealth of rich data” and took into account “both star rating and number of reviews to reveal which spots not only have top-notch ratings, but also which are most popular in the Yelp community.”
