Explore the Business Side of Theater

Mid-Continent Public Library’s Square One Small Business Services is inviting the business community to a panel on Feb. 24 exploring the business side of theater.

The panel of actors, directors and production company executives will include Chip Miller, assistant artistic director, Kansas City Repertory Theatre; Heidi Van, founder, Fishtank Performance Studio; Andy Parkhurst, managing director, Spinning Tree Theatre; Jason Kralicek, managing director, Unicorn Theatre; and Damron Russel Armstrong, executive artistic director, Black Repertory Theater of Kansas City.

Tim Scott, a local actor and two-time recipient of PITCH Magazine’s “Best of Kansas City” award, will moderate.

The panel will run from 7-9 p.m. at the MTH Theatre at Crown Center. A reception with the panelists will follow.

The program is funded by a grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.  Registration is required.
