Three high school students from the Kansas City area were among the winners of this year’s Youth Entrepreneurs Final Flyers competition.

More than 1,100 students from Kansas City, Wichita, Topeka and outstate Kansas competed in the business plan competition. The final round was held June 2 in Wichita. Five finalists received $1,500 capital grants for the companies they created. Local winners include:

• Ronal Burell of Wyandotte High, for Zillah Restorations
• Harrison Lara and Vincent Kent of William Chrisman High, for K&L Industries
