ABPathfinder Introduces Improvements to Its Software

Local startup ABPathfinder is making it even easier to use its autism-therapy software.

The Overland Park-based company is introducing a new look for its cloud-based service, including improved navigation and a reworked dashboard. ABPathfinder plans to show off these and other new features at the Council for Exceptional Children 2015 Convention & Expo and other conferences this spring.

“We’re excited to announce these enhancements at a time when awareness of autism—and special needs as a whole—is at a high,” said Jeff Blackwood, president and CEO of ABPathfinder. “With improved features and navigation, our software will further empower therapists and educators to maximize their time and effectiveness with every child.”

Autism therapists, educators and parents use ABPathfinder’s service to track how young people with autism are progressing with their lessons and exercises. As a result, therapists spend less time on paperwork. A researcher found that ABPathfinder can lead to children acquiring new skills 20 percent faster.

Other new features include a “Goal Planning” tab and a “System Utilization Summary Report,” which will track metrics such as the average time spent per patient or the number of skills tracked per session.
