As of April 1, American Hearing & Audiology officially has taken over operation of five Connect Hearing locations across Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. The acquisition positions American Hearing & Audiology as the largest provider of hearing aid and hearing care services in the Kansas City metro area.
A total of 24 locations, with 35 employees, are now fully operational under American Hearing & Audiology within the Midwest markets.
“We had a longstanding relationship with the parent company, and we were the best candidate to ensure future growth,” said Jaime Parks, a doctor of audiology and president of American Hearing & Audiology.
Headquartered in Overland Park, American Hearing & Audiology is an independent hearing care practice that has served the area for nearly 20 years.
“Our mission statement is to provide every patient with the most compelling experience to achieve a fuller life to better hearing,” said Parks. “I believe by having a bigger footprint in our market, we put ourselves in an excellent position to be the advocate for our patients. And because of our size, we have the ability to have relationships with our vendors that benefit our patients.”
American Hearing & Audiology provides patients with educated professionals who devote their full attention to a patient and their needs, going beyond just fitting a device.
“We have the autonomy to treat the patient as an individual and listening to their needs,” said Parks.
Locations across the metro include Blue Springs; Gladstone; Harrisonville; Independence; Kansas City, Kan.; Leawood; Lee’s Summit; Liberty; Mission; North Kansas City; Olathe; and Overland Park.
Parks said the growth means more patients in Kansas City will benefit.
“We get to take care of more patients and provide our mission to all the people out there who need hearing aids and need our services.”
