The state-of-the-art, seven-screen theater in Lee’s Summit’s New Longview development expands the movie-going experience. The new location features B&B Theatres Grand Screen, a four-story-tall, wall-to-wall curved screen — one of the largest in the nation. Each reserved-seating auditorium features fully reclining leather seats as well as the dive lighting system.
“This lighting system incorporates synced lighting on the wall, ceiling and rear-mounted speakers, creating an immersive and spectacular experience for select content,” said Paul Farnsworth, director of public relations.
In addition to new technology, the theatre boasts the Marquee Bar, a full-service bar, lounge and patio open before and after screenings. In addition to wine, spirits and cocktails, the bar will offer new food items such as gourmet burgers, flatbread gourmet pizzas and funnel cake fries.
“We pride ourselves on providing the best in digital presentation, customer service and innovative entertainment,” Farnsworth said. “Our two locations in Lee’s Summit represent the current best and brightest of the B&B standard.”
This is the second B&B Theatre to open in Lee’s Summit. The first was a remodeled 16-screen theater located off Douglas Street. The New Longview is located at 3201 SW Fascination Drive.
B&B Theatres is a locally and family-owned chain of 50 theaters. Currently, the company is building its flagship theatre in Liberty and has extensive remodel efforts underway at locations in Leavenworth and Tulsa, Okla.
