Three of Overland Park’s fastest-growing businesses—DEG, Netsmart Technologies and Object Technology Solutions—will be presented NOVA Awards from the Overland Park Chamber Economic Development Council.
The OP Chamber EDC’s annual awards program is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Sheraton Overland Park.
Each of the NOVA winners has experienced tremendous growth. Netsmart Technologies, which develops software for the health care sector, has more than 23,000 client organizations. Digital marketing company DEG, meanwhile, has hired 61 employees in the past three years and has grown by 173 percent. Object Technology Solutions, which offers a range of outsourced IT services, has landed on the Inc. 5000 list eight times.
The OP Chamber EDC will recognize several other business leaders during the program.
The founders of Corporate Woods—Whitney Kerr Sr., Russell Jones, the late Tom Congleton and the late Richard Wagstaff—are the recipients of this year’s Ben Craig Vision Award, which is for outstanding leadership. The office park officially opened 40 years ago this year.
Zurich North America, meanwhile, will be inducted into the Business Hall of Honor. The company was formerly known as Universal Underwriters Group and has been located in Overland Park for approximately 34 years.
Architecture firm MOMENTA and the first phase of the Prairiefire shopping center will be presented Commercial Development Awards. MOMENTA undertook a major renovation of its headquarters in downtown Overland Park, and Prairiefire is one of the metro’s most prominent retail developments in the last few years.
