The application deadline for this spring’s InvestMidwest Venture Capital Forum is being pushed back an extra week to Jan. 17.
The forum is one of the most important fund-raising venues for Midwestern startups in the life sciences, tech, bioenergy and agriculture industries. The forum, which is marking its 15th year, has helped startups generate more than $1 billion in investment.
This year’s forum will be held March 26-27 in St. Louis. About 45 companies will be selected to present their ideas. The chosen startups must have the potential to create $20 million or more in annual revenue within the next five years.
“Over the past several years, we’ve been able to connect many promising companies with investors, and we are eager to complete the selection process this year and pass along this exciting opportunity to other startups that have shown high-growth potential,” said Chris Walsh, executive director of InvestMidwest. “The response from applicants this year has been great, but there are still spots to fill. We look forward to receiving additional applications and proposals from companies throughout the Midwest.”
