EY Entrepreneur Of the Year Extends Nomination Period

EY’s Central Midwest region has extended the nomination deadline for the Entrepreneur Of the Year Award until Friday, March 18.

This is Ernst & Young’s 30th year hosting the awards, which recognize innovative business leaders in the Midwest and across the country.

Past regional winners include Greg Graves of Burns & McDonnell, Cliff Illig and Neal Patterson of Cerner Corporation, David O’Reilly of O’Reilly Automotive, and Ronald Shaich of Panera Bread Company.

“The entrepreneurs we have honored across the region have created a positive ripple effect in our communities, our capital markets and our economy,” said Mike Hickenbotham, co-program director for EY’s Central Midwest region.

This year’s regional winners will be announced June 16 at the Midland Theatre in Kansas City.

All regional honorees are then invited to the Entrepreneur Of the Year national gala on Nov. 19 in Palm Springs, Calif. It is at this gala that a U.S. winner will be announced, and he or she will then go on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of the Year title in Monaco in June 2017.

Entrepreneurs may nominate themselves, peers or other business leaders. The nominee must be an entrepreneur, leader of a multigenerational family business or a transformational public or private CEO. The nominee’s company must be at least 2 years old. There is no cost to nominate yourself or someone else.
