The entrepreneurial battle lines are being drawn as startup companies around the world prepare to compete in more than 250 Global Startup Battle (GSB) events.
That includes the 10th Kansas City Startup Weekend (KCSW) on Nov. 14-16 at the Sprint Accelerator, 210 W. 19th Terrace in Kansas City, Mo.
To help local startups get ready to rock, there will be two different evening boot camps leading up to Kansas City Startup Weekend:
- “The Official Kansas City Startup Weekend GSB Boot Camp: What is Global Startup Battle, How Do You Pitch & How Do You Prepare?” will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 at the Sprint Accelerator. Startups will deliver a 60-second pitch to attendees with three to four minutes of mentor feedback, and one to two minutes of optional audience feedback.

- “The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Boot Camp: What Is That? How to Create One!” will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Sprint Accelerator. Startups will hear how to build a successful MVP and how to work without a developer if necessary, followed by a Q&A and the opportunity to build with basic prototypes or in concept.
