Kansas City will be the host city for the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) U.S. National Finals Competition next week.
The competition will be held on March 6-7, 2017 at the Kauffman Foundation.
GSEA, a program of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), is a program for student entrepreneurs. Since 1998, it has honored outstanding students who simultaneously attend university full-time while running their own businesses.
Over the years, participating students have gone on to create thousands of jobs and generate millions in revenue.
To qualify, students must be enrolled as an undergraduate student of a recognized college or university and primarily responsible for the operation of a business that has been operating for no less than six (6) consecutive months. Selected students presented their businesses and entrepreneurial story to a judging panel in their regions.
The regional winners are competing in the finals in Kansas City. The winner of the finals will be recognized as the GSEA champion of the United States and will represent the US by attending the GSEA Global Finals in Frankfurt, Germany. The U.S. winner will compete with more than 50 of the world’s top student entrepreneurs and be eligible to win more than $400,000 in cash and donated business services.
