The Women’s Employment Network is welcoming a new lineup of board officers.
The group is led by Jen Gulvik, senior vice president of marketing and creative director for Houlihan’s Restaurants Inc., who succeeds Alice Ellison as WEN board chair.
“Alice will be greatly missed by everyone at WEN” after serving two successive three-year terms, said WEN President Sherry Turner in a release. “WEN is well positioned for the future, due in large part to Alice’s tremendous leadership and commitment. We are grateful to her for her many years of exemplary service to WEN and our mission. WEN is very fortunate to move forward with a board comprised of such talented, experienced, and dedicated individuals.”
Other new WEN board officers are Megan McCurdy, an attorney at Stinson Leonard Street LLP; Angela Tower, a tax director with PwC’s Alternative Investment Funds Practice; and Kelly Murphy, a leader in human resources for more than 25 years.
WEN also announces the appointment of seven new members to its board of directors: Janice Blansit, director of adult education at Johnson Country Community College; Jeanetta Campbell, community relations liaison at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City; Phyllis Collins, founder of The Collins Network; Angela Hurt, CEO at Veracity Consulting, Inc.; Victoria Kandt, owner/CEO of Victoria Kandt & Associates; Mitzi Miller, vice president of human resources at Bank of Kansas City; and Elma Warrick, executive director at ESP Enterprises, LLC.
