A Kansas City business development organization is looking for entrepreneurs to take part in a pitch competition that could net winners up to $10,000.
Applications are open for the fourth annual AltCap Your Biz Competition, which aims to help small business owners take their companies to the next level by offering capital and free technical assistance. Businesses in the Greater Kansas City metro with less than $250,000 in annual revenue are eligible.
The application includes an online form and a 1- to 2-minute video pitch. The deadline is 5 p.m. Oct. 3. There is no application fee.
Finalists will submit a two-page business proposal and financial projections. In the final round, the top 10 entrepreneurs will give a 3- to 5-minute pitch, followed by 5 to 10 minutes of questions from the judges. The pitch competition will be Nov. 14 during Global Entrepreneurship Week.
