The law firm Douthit Frets Rouse Gentile & Rhodes has grown so much that it’s undergoing a rebrand.
Going forward, the firm’s name will be Rouse Frets Gentile Rhodes, or Rouse Frets. Its new website is www.rousefrets.com.
“This change follows a period of significant growth for the firm, which prompted a new look at our identity,” said Chuck Rouse, managing member. “Our growth is in both attorneys and clients. One of our core values is approachability, and the move toward a simpler name makes sense.”
Founded in 1995, the Leawood-based firm has seen its team of attorneys increase by 75 percent in the past five years, to 39. Part of the growth comes from adding the former Dunn & Davison law firm. (Dunn & Davison’s KC attorneys merged with Rouse Frets, while its St. Joseph lawyers are affiliated with the firm.)
To make room for its expanding team, Rouse Frets has opened a second location at Town Pavilion in downtown Kansas City.
Rouse Frets provides representation in corporate, contract and business law, including work involving employment issues, construction law and estate and wealth planning.
It has also added attorneys with expertise in niche subjects such as renewable energy, ERISA, higher education and other topics, allowing the firm to create national practices in these areas.
“The firm has very experienced attorneys and we provide them flexibility to create and maintain client-focused and client-driven relationships at the attorney level,” Rouse said. “It has resulted in growth.”
