The Sprint Accelerator is taking applications now through Dec. 14 for its second class of startups.
The Kansas City-based program works with companies that are trying to improve the health of people or pets. While the accelerator is especially interested in mobile solutions, companies that have only a health-based product will still be considered. Ten startups will be chosen for the next three-month class.
Techstars, one of the partners in the accelerator, offers $20,000 to each startup in exchange for 6 percent equity. Sprint offers a $100,000 convertible debt note in exchange for equity.
Application information can be found at this website.
The first Sprint Accelerator class held its Demo Day in June at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Read more about the event and the participating startups here.
