Local startup Innovating Solutions—the team behind the Tappecue Wi-Fi barbecue thermometer—has unveiled a new feature that should make it easier for grillers to recreate their best efforts.
The company’s new Tappecue SessionBook, which works in conjunction with the Tappecue thermometer, will store all the data and notes from a cooking session in an online account.
Hard-core grillers love tracking temperatures, times, ingredients and other specific details because it allows them to tweak and refine their recipes over time.
“Tappecue SessionBook will give its users the toolset they need to help them become the expert barbecue chef,” said Jacob Bourret, Innovation Solutions’ vice president of marketing.
It costs $9.95 per month to use Tappecue SessionBook or $1.99 per session, with unlimited storage. Data can be output as a PDF that can be read, shared or stored easily.
“Requirements for barbecue restaurants have created a need for logging temperatures of their food and smoker at all times,” said Gina Bourret, Innovating Solutions’ president. “Restaurants are currently using the Tappecue for the alerting feature, and now they’ll have the added value of logging without the hassle of manually inputting entries.”
