The team behind Useagility is launching a new business, Pointworks Academy, which will offer an accelerated learning program for people interested in user experience design and digital product management.
Pointworks Academy will assist those who want to switch careers, as well as corporations that want to offer training to their teams.
“Nearly every company in today’s society has some kind of technology or digital products associated with its business,” said Chrys Sullivan, CEO of Useagility and co-founder of Pointworks Academy. “This has created a high demand for expertise and skills in user experience and product management. Unfortunately, there is a lack of effective training available for these jobs and we want to help fix that.”
Useagility is a past winner of the 25 Under 25® Award. Training will be offered at 4149 Pennsylvania Ave. in Kansas City, Mo. Introductory workshops are planned to start in August.
“Our experience working with established companies and start-ups around the Midwest really opened our eyes to a need for more proactive education and training opportunities in UX,” said Beranek, Sullivan’s business partner. “We are excited to bring a progressive solution to Kansas City to create and develop local talent for successful, in-demand careers.”
