Your small business might be eligible to win a $100,000 grant.
Chase’s Mission Main Street grants program is giving away $100,000 each to 20 small businesses across the country, but interested entrepreneurs are facing a June 5 deadline to sign up.
Then, the public will be able to vote for the companies they most want to see win. The voting deadline is June 19, and the grants will be awarded in September. Each company needs at least 250 Facebook votes in order to be considered for a grant.
The Mission Main Street signup form is here, and information on eligibility requirements can be found here. In a nutshell, though, the participating companies must employ fewer than 100 people, must have been in operation at least two years and must be owned by a U.S. resident who’s at least 18 years old. They also must be for-profit.
If you’re not interested in voting, you can still cast your vote for other Kansas City companies and help them reach the 250-vote threshold. There are already several small businesses in the running for Mission Main Street grants, including ReTouch, HammerSpace Workshop, Wise Writers and Speakers, and many more.
