FitBark Named Semifinalist for U.S. Get In The Ring

FitBark, a startup based in Kansas City, is one of 20 U.S. semifinalists in this year’s Get In The Ring pitch competition.

FitBark, which was featured in the September issue of Thinking Bigger Business, has developed a wireless activity monitor that helps pet owners track their dogs’ health. It was part of the first-ever Sprint Accelerator.

Get In The Ring is an international contest that’s held in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week. Five U.S. finalists will be selected, based on videos and written submissions, to compete against Mexican and Canadian entrepreneurs in the North American finals on Nov. 6-7 here in Kansas City. The winner there will travel to Rotterdam and compete with other finalists from around the world.

Last year’s global winner was Toby Rush of EyeVerify, another Kansas City company.
