Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program Deadline Approaches on Aug. 1

The Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program is taking applications now through Aug. 1.

The program’s mentoring service pairs established, but less experienced business owners with seasoned executives who coach them to bigger growth. Applicants must:

–          Own the majority of a business

–          Have a minimum of five full-time employees

–          Generate around $1 million in annual revenue and have the desire to substantially grow the company

The formal program last three years and includes 12 to 24 formal events per year. Mentees pay $4,500 per year, along with a one-time $150 application fee. HEMP will take up to 20 mentees for its 2014 class.

“I’m amazed how much I benefit from HEMP,” says Linda Bennett of CommWorld of Kansas City. “We pride ourselves on the quality of our company, but now we’re learning how to raise the level even higher. The mentors are anxious to share their wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of business, plus the educational programs are excellent.”

HEMP was founded in 1995 by Barnett Helzberg Jr., the former owner and president of Helzberg Diamonds. Helzberg credits his longtime mentor, Ewing Marion Kauffman, for inspiring the creation of HEMP.
