Made to Last | City Wide Maintenance

When Frank Oddo founded City Wide in 1961, he saw the Lenexa-based cleaning company as a temporary solution for employment after he graduated from college.

Instead, City Wide became his career—and a company that generates nearly $100 million in annual revenue. Each night, City Wide cleans nearly 100 million square feet of commercial space across the country.

And that’s not to say that janitorial services are City Wide’s only specialty. The business has evolved several times over the years, from selling cleaning supplies to offering building maintenance to transforming into a professional management company.

One of the biggest changes came after son Jeff took the reins and franchised the City Wide concept. Today, there are 34 cities with City Wide franchises, and the Oddos are working to triple the company’s reach by establishing locations in New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles. // www.gocitywide.com
